8TW Update 3/4 (STRANGERS IN PARADISE: THE AUDIO DRAMA, BEAUTIES AND THE BEAST, DEATH CODE:NINJA and more!)

Good day, everyone! We're almost done with winter, so have hope!

The big news this week is to welcome the latest player in our band of misfits, Liz Hanley!

Irish-American singer and fiddler Liz Hanley is a nomad splitting her time between her native Boston, the heart of New York City, and her favorite steel town in the hills, Sheffield, England. Hailed by the Irish Echo as a “versatile performer”, Hanley was trained in classical violin and voice, marinated in Irish traditional music and tumbled in the rock ’n roll dryer. Vents Magazine recognizes her “crystal-clear, instantly ingratiating voice that has always been a hallmark of progressive folk-rock” and Irish Music Magazine celebrated her “uncanny knack and the distinctive voice to reawaken our interest in the familiar”. Liz will be joining us in the repertory for Strangers In Paradise: The Audio Drama and will star in the latest Public Domain Comics Theater, 'Kate's Seven Day Wonder'.

Tomorrow will see the premiere of our first 8TW After Dark production, the feature-length Beauties and The Beast, starring Michael Bailey as the titular beast and Lauren A. Kennedy and Nicole Thomte as the titular beauties.  There's even a special guest appearance by renown podcaster Luke Jaconetti as Anzu, the Sumerian Demon Fire Bird.  This tale features copious audio nudity, some extreme violence and gratuitous hippie pagan rituals.  Like Death Code: Ninja, it was inspired by the box art and copy of the 1974 softcore film.  "I am not looking forward to visiting the original for our 'Come to the Movies,' as it seems to be just a guy in a Bigfoot costume carrying off pretty girls," Writer and Director Thomas Deja said.  "But I am proud of what we came up with, as our desire to do a typically 8TW Valentine's Day special became a really cool romp with a unique point of view."  Beauties will be available on our Two True Freaks feed for through April 2nd.

As for Death Code: Ninja, the bombastic martial arts spy mini-feature that will lead into the Audiomatic Universe production Lightning Bolt: Resurrection, it will soon be available at our pop-up shop for $5.  In addition to the adventure itself, you will be getting an exclusive Behind The Scenes interview and the aforementioned 'Come To The Movies' segment, where Thomas actually views the Godfrey Ho 'classic' that inspired the audio play.  Remember, guys...right now this is the best way to throw some support our way so we can continue to grow and expand as an audio drama troupe.

(You might have noticed our reference to the 'Audiomatic Universe'...would we be a purveyor of media goodness without trying to create our own 'shared universe' for marketing purposes?  More on that later...although you might want to pay attention to Episode 3 of Eileen Thorne when it drops on the 19th....)

Don't forget to take a look at friend of the troupe Greg Lamberson's Indiegogo campaign for his upcoming action thriller Guns of Eden.  Greg will be appearing in an upcoming episode of The Honeywell Experiment, the podcast Thomas Deja and Chris Honeywell do on Grindhouse Cinema...and we're trying to convince him to lend his voice to an upcoming production.

Don’t forget to follow our Twitter (maintained by Bernice, Our Social Media Cat) @Ocadecagonagon and join our Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/164149742068310/.  If you'd like to lend a little support to our efforts, visit our temporary pop-up shop at https://ko-fi.com/thomasdeja/shop

See you tomorrow for our trip into the woods, and the continued countdown to the launch of Season Two of Strangers In Paradise: The Audio Drama on March 26th!
