Good day, everyone! Don't worry; thing'll get warmer soon enough.
This Sunday we had a special recording session as we hosted noted writer/director Greg Lamberson. Greg is busy preparing to shoot his latest film, Guns of Eden (which you can help crowdfund by going to his Indiegogo between now and April 1st), and in addition to our producing a special promo spot for him, we welcomed him to play one of the bad guys in 'Kate's Seven Day Wonder,' a Public Domain Comic Theater production coming next Friday, March 19th. We all had a ball doing our first western story; let's just say there were multiple cow imitations devised.
But what about this Friday, you ask? Well, today we continue the adventures of everyone's favorite aide to discovery, Eileen Thorne, Freelance Lab Assistant! In 'No Late Fees For Death,' Eileen and her new ally Leda find themselves in an alternate dimension without their library cards. I know you think that might not have much of an impact, but trust us...it'll make sense. All this plus Gland Grenades! And it's going down this week on our feed, which can be located at the Two True Freaks site.(and if you've been digging our favorite graduate of the Polidori Institute, why not follow her on Twitter? Just look up @EileenThorneFLA and learn more about her and her world!)
Please remember that our first feature production, Death Code: Ninja, is now available in our pop-up shop for $5. This box contains not only the full cast audio drama but a Behind The Scenes featurette and a look at the film that inspired the drama, one of the notorious stitched together 'ninja' features by the legendary Godfrey Ho. If you've become a fan of 8TW, purchasing this (as well as our Public Domain Comic Theater box set and our ringtones) is presently the best way to support us in our work. Purchasing our productions allows us to finance future projects and upgrade equipment, and we thank you with some interesting and informative extras. And if you liked last week's Beauties and The Beast--available on our feed throughout the month of March--we're already hard at work at that feature's extras, including interviews with both our monsters. Although, after doing a search for a streaming version of the original film for our 'Come To The Movie' segment, we're going to have to rethink what we're going to add into the box set. If you have any suggestions, please email us at ocadecagonagontheaterworks@gmail.com or comment in our Facebook Group and Twitter and let us know!See you next week for 'Kate's Seven Day Wonder,' and remember--the week after, we begin the next leg of Strangers In Paradise: The Audio Drama, I Dream of You!
