Ocadecagonagon Theater Works is a collective of writers, directors, and voice talent formed during the present Pandemic of 2020 and united by a geeky love of audio drama (and cats). Originally formed to produce an audio adaptation of Terry Moore’s landmark comic Strangers In Paradise, the group has had so much chemistry with each other that they have devised other audio dramas, including VHS Box Theater, the Public Domain Comic Theater series of adaptations of comic book stories and its spin-off presently in pre-production, Eileen Thorne: Freelance Lab Assistant!
As it was formed during the Pandemic, the 8TW is composed of people who mostly have not met face to face. Although its main director is based in New York City, its sound designer is in Rochester, and its actors are spread out all over the country, from Brooklyn to Seattle to Nashville to Athens. The 8TW Recording Studio is a virtual one, existing on the internet and in the minds of the individual members.
